Antarctic Beeches in New England National Park reach back to the moist climate of Gondwana. In the hot and dry Australia of today, it only survives at high altitude in the CERRA group, where it forms unique cool temperate rainforests.

have been immigrating to Australia for about 15 Mill years and form together with the heritage of Gondwana unique plant communities - the subtropical rainforests of Australia.
